The International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) Young Scientist Prize in the field of Magnetism is awarded annually to one scientist for groundbreaking theoretical or experimental work on fundamental or applied magnetism.
After delivering an invited talk entitled "Tunable spin and orbital torques in Cu-based magnetic heterostructures" that was part of the Advances in current-induced magnetization control technical session, Dr. Damerio was awarded the ICSM2025 International award of Early Career Achievement, celebrating groundreaking accomplishments in "Spintronics and orbitronics". The award was conferred by the conference director Ali Gencer, on behalf of the conference president Prof. Dr. Necdet Ünüvar (Rector of Ankara University).
Muhammad Ahsan Saeed will work on indoor organic photovoltaics, Silvia Damerio on spintronic devices and Daniel Martin on organic electronic devices. The Marie Sklodowska Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships (PF) 2022 call results were announced by the European Commission in February 2023. The call will facilitate the incorporation of 1,235 experienced postdoctoral researchers to R+D institutions (research centers, universities, private and public organisation and small and medium-sized enterprises), 177of them in Spain, 31 of them at the CSIC, and 3 of them here at ICMAB.
